Getting Your Music Ready to Record with Kiah Gossner
Kiah Gossner is the go-to producer for those seeking a sophisticated edge on their recordings. Kiah’s broad skill set encompasses songwriting, production, orchestration, recording, and mixing. These talents allow Kiah to see a recording through from inception to release, helping it realise its full artistic potential.
In this workshop, participants will explore the art of music recording and production. Dive into tape vs. digital recording, pro studio secrets, and tips on how to craft sound on a budget.

Mixing 101 with Stefan Du Randt
Stefan Du Randt has built a reputation as a prolific producer and mixing & recording engineer, having worked with numerous local and international acts. As a mix engineer, Stefan consistently goes above and beyond to enhance records, often incorporating additional production elements and utilising an array of outboard gear.
This workshop breaks down the basics of mixing into easy-to-understand steps. Learn from the ground up about prepping a mix, analogue vs digital mixing, using a mix template, and the mixing fundamentals.

This workshop will equip you with the essentials for a smooth gig. Feel confident and prepared to own your next show! It will cover pre-show steps for a stress-free experience, creating a stage plot and communicating effectively with sound engineers to get the sound you want.

Wild Turkey Music 101 is about giving a stage to up-and-coming Australian voices, providing a platform to share some of their boldest stories in a celebration of community, music, conviction, and of course, bourbon. Alongside fostering a broader stage for emerging artists through intimate concerts and digital audiences, we’re partnering with some of Australia’s top and emerging industry talent to bring Wild Turkey Music to venues across Australia.
Wild Turkey Bourbon is calling on aspiring artists who are bold and unapologetically themselves to trust in their spirit – no matter their journey. It’s in this same spirit that Wild Turkey Bourbon master distillers have been able to craft bourbon their way for almost 100 Years.
With 100 years of heritage, much like Wild Turkey Bourbon, Studios 301 is the largest recording company in the Southern Hemisphere.
It is Australia’s most iconic and globally trusted name when it comes to music recording, with expert mentors who will host our 2024 mentorship program over two days.
Those who trust their spirit and apply for the mentorship (note, you must be age 25 or over) will be in the running to experience a two-day mentorship program in partnership with Studios 301. The program aims to foster a broader community and support for emerging artists.
Each day comprises of three 2-hour sessions, focusing on a specialised topic tailored to the needs of the emerging artist and created in collaboration with Studios 301 mentors.
Day one of the program will take place at a recording studio, providing participants with a hands-on experience within a professional studio environment.
Day two, will continue at Wild Turkey Bourbon’s House of Music 101, where artists will have the chance to showcase their talents and connect with a broader community of music enthusiasts and industry professionals.

Yes, any aspiring musician (age 25 and over) across Australia can apply for the mentorship program.
Travel and accommodation will be provided to successful mentees based outside of Sydney for the two days of sessions.
